Broccatello di Spagna. Its origin is in Tortosa, antique Roman town near the Ebro river (Spain), today this marble is quarried in small quantity. So called because of his broccato-like aspect, the Broccatello was employd for pavements and wall panels in the Severian age. It was also largely used in the Byzanthinic age and in the southern Italy (S. Gennaro church, Naples).

La sua origine é a Tortosa, antica città romana vicino al fiume Ebro (Spagna), oggi questo marmo é scavato in modesta quantità. Deve il suo nome all'aspetto broccato, fu impiegato per pavimenti e rivestimenti murari all'epoca dei Severi. In seguito fu largamente usato in epoca bizantina e nel Sud Italia (chiesa di S. Gennaro, Napoli).
